About this guide to aquascaping in Armenia
The planted aquarium, written down in Armenian for the first time. Tap water by district, plants that live here, and a club being built out loud.

Why it is written in Armenian
Almost everything published about the planted aquarium assumes somebody else's water, somebody else's shops and somebody else's climate. Yerevan tap water has its own hardness and its own story, the plants that thrive here are a particular subset, and the people keeping them have been doing it without a written record.
So this is the record. Water by district, plants that live in it, fish that suit the temperature a normally heated flat actually reaches, and the stone this country is sitting on. Every outside figure carries its source, so a sceptic can check it rather than trust it. Corrections welcome, and they get made.
The club
A library is a start and not an end. The point of writing it down is that people find each other, compare tanks, argue about substrate and eventually enter something. The club pages are where that is being organised.
Who writes it
Aquascaping.am is owned and published by luckyfin.studio. You can also find LuckyFin on Instagram @luckyfin.studio.
Where this is going
An Armenian planted aquarium scene that knows itself: its own water, its own plants, its own people, and eventually its own contest. Somebody starting a tank in Gyumri finds the answer in their own language, first try.
What we hold ourselves to
Write down what actually works in this water, cite every figure so a sceptic can check it, and gather the people already doing this into a club that meets.
